My Technological Journey
When I first stepped into the classroom, I didn’t aim to be a “tech person.” I simply wanted to make sure my students had what they needed to succeed. Over time, I discovered that technology isn’t about gadgets or trends—it’s about creating opportunity and removing barriers.
I started with digital models in Anatomy and Physiology, then carried those lessons into Career and Technical Education, where I refused to let broken or forgotten devices stop students from learning. My vision grew into seeing technology as invisible learning—tools that fade into the background so the focus stays on student thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
From leading math professional learning to helping students earn NCCER certifications, I’ve learned that technology works best when it empowers people. My journey has been about equity, resilience, and possibility—moving beyond the tool so that students and teachers alike can discover what they’re truly capable of.
